About Me: I’ve worked as an online test scorer, however, as time went on I felt I wanted to do other things just to keep life interesting. I found that being an editor was something that I enjoyed. But then I decided that instead of just doing only editing I would do writing as well. I now do both freelance editing and freelance writing.

Soccer FactsMany youth sports teams or leagues are in constant search for funding. They need funding for uniforms, travel, equipment and other expenses. Soccer is no exception. The quest to raise money for soccer can be challenging. You must figure out how much money you need, how to raise the money and how to coordinate the effort. Raising money for soccer can be done successfully if you have a few ideas with which to start.
Meal Tickets
Sell tickets for a meal. Have meals catered, get meal donations from local restaurants or get some parents volunteer to cook. Set a goal for each parent or child to sell a certain number of tickets.
Discount Cards or Coupons
Get discount cards for a certain amount, and sell them for a little more to make a profit. An example of this is the Marsh Not-For-Profit Card Program (see Resources).
Soccer-Related T-Shirts or Bottled Water
Sell soccer-related T-shirts or bottled water at games. There are fundraising websites that specialize in providing these products. You can buy these products for a low cost, then sell them for a higher cost.
Using A Shot Cage
Set up a shot cage at a game during which there is high attendance or at another occasion at which people can show how fast they can kick the soccer ball into a goal. Set up contests with prizes. Make people pay a small fee to participate. Get the shot cage from a company that rents them.
Work With Other Parents
Ask parents to work together. Have a parents' meeting and ask for volunteers to help with soccer fundraising. It is important that everybody has a voice in the planning so nobody feels left out of the fundraising.
