Overview
Club sports are the perfect in-between level of competition between collegiate and intramural. Club sports provide serious competition for people a little more interested than the casual and laid-back intramural game. Club sports sometimes travel out of state to play. Here's a quick guide on creating a website for your football club.
Step 1
Create a roster and schedule page. On these two pages, include a basic summary page that includes all the games with a quick final score and all the players with their corresponding number. On each player and game, provide a link that leads to more information when clicked on. For example, it's useful to create a bio page for every player on the team. When you put a link under the name, the web surfer can browse the player's mug shot, stats and mini bio.
Step 2
Create an image gallery. Learn how to make one through one of the many HTML tutorials (see Resources below). Image galleries are terrific for sports-themed websites. The gallery provides action shots of all the games and a way to get closer to the players.
Step 3
Create a discussion board and weekly chats with players. Sports fans love when team's go out of their way to close the gap between athlete and fan. Each week during the season, allow one player to chat live with the fan base through the website's chat room. When the player's are not on, fan's can chat about upcoming games, coaching and players. Also create a discussion board where people can ask questions or state their opinions.
