The rivalry continues.
Despite completely owning them in the domestic league year after year, Chelsea always seem to have trouble in Europe when it comes to Liverpool. Say what you will about the “Ghost Goal” in ‘05, but Liverpool’s Champions League form over the past 5 years has been commendable. When the two meet in April, they will be coming off of months of limited success in their race to catch Man U at the top of the EPL table.
Europe is a different story however, with Liverpool will be coming off of a Champions League thrashing of Real Madrid, and Chelsea narrowly squeaked by the Italian giants Juventus. The momentum is definitely on the side of Liverpool and the games should be epic…..just please don’t let John Terry take any penalties……
